Graycliff Partners Announces Investment in Lighting Technologies International

Graycliff Partners, an independent investment firm focusing on middle market private equity and mezzanine investments, announced that it has provided subordinated debt and equity financing to Lighting Technologies International LLC (“LTI”). Graycliff’s investment was in support of the purchase of a controlling stake in LTI by Saratoga Partners, an independent, New York-based merchant banking firm specializing in alternative asset investment in private equity and debt.

Headquartered in Baldwin Park, California, and founded in 1999, LTI is the largest US designer, developer and manufacturer of digital cinema projection lamps. The Company’s reputation for product quality, expansive product line and long-term customer relationships have allowed the Company to build a strong position in the US, as well as a strong foothold in the European and Asian markets. This transaction returns LTI to its independent, entrepreneurial roots, after the business was acquired in 2007 by Philips Lighting.

“LTI’s reputation for innovative technology and design bolstered by its unique manufacturing capabilities has positioned the Company as a best-in-breed leader in terms of quality,” said Andrew Trigg, Managing Partner, Graycliff Partners. “We are excited about our partnership with management and Saratoga Partners and look forward to seeing LTI through their next stage of growth.”
